myHermes was launched in 2009 in response to increased demand for a convenient, flexible and affordable consumer delivery solution. myHermes is now one of the leading online delivery solutions for anyone wanting to send a parcel. myHermes’ two-day service via its nationwide network of myHermes ParcelShops and three-day delivery service collected from the doorstep, provide an effective and affordable alternative to other UK carriers.
Since its launch, myHermes has expanded the available services with the launch of myHermes ParcelShops in June 2012 and the service is now available in over 4,500 locations. myHermes ParcelShop is a simple and affordable delivery service located at local convenience stores and corner shops nationwide. Each location offers extended opening hours – typically from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week – making it ideal for sending personal and business parcels.
UPS – united parcel services
UPS is the most established and the largest parcel integrator in the world. Founded in the United States in 1907, they initially began as a ground courier operations and an alternative to the USPS (US Post Office).
Since their early days as a ground operation, UPS has developed a significant global foot print. Here, at PDX-Express, we are proud to consider UPS as one of our Global Strategic Partners and are delighted to work with them in all the countries that we operate in.
UPS offer an extensive range of services. When speed is of the essence, our primary recommendation to our customers is the Express and Express Saver services. If you are looking for a more cost-effective distribution then we recommend the Standard and Expedited services. While UPS are particularly strong in the US, they also offer excellent overseas shipping services.
TNT (Thomas Nationwide Transport) was launched just after the Second World War as a delivery service in Sydney. Since then, they have since seen significant growth and are now among the top five global, major package delivery companies. They deliver millions of documents and packages on a daily basis. Although they are now owned by FedEx, TNT have kept their identity as a separate company.
In the 1980’s, TNT expanded into Europe and the rest of the world and now offer their services to 180 countries. They still have a very strong presence in Australia but have added a leading domestic service in Europe with their unique “Road Express” service. Their Economy Express service is an excellent choice for PDX-Express customers offering a large number of Express destinations.
DPD – DYNAMIC PARCEL DISTRIBUTION
Founded in 1977 in Germany, DPD was launched as a parcel alternative to Deutsche Post. Through the franchise opportunity, they have now grown across Europe, focusing on countries within the European Union.
Owned by GeoPost, a subsidiary of the French postal service, La Poste, they have a presence in over 40 countries with an excess of 800 depots. Their business to business service makes them one of Europe’s leading parcel delivery services. With their DPD classic and DPD Express services they are the perfect European partner for PDX-Express.
